About Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College

Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre was started in 1999. The institute is determined to impart training to students in the basic principles and philosophy of Ayurveda, integrating modern scientific advances to provide better healthcare services to society.

The training involves advanced academics and extracurricular activities to shape students into competent physicians and responsible citizens. The college is located within city limits, just 3 km from Yelahanka Railway Station and Bus Stand, in a serene atmosphere conducive to learning.

The campus houses a well-stocked library, reading room, indoor auditorium, herbal garden with more than 250 medicinal plants, and a pharmacology museum with over 200 rare wet specimens. Modern teaching aids such as OHP, LCD projectors, and digital CCTV surveillance are used across classrooms and hospital premises.

Regular yoga classes are conducted as part of the curriculum. Additionally, spoken English classes are arranged to improve students’ communication skills and fluency.

Ramakrishna Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, Central Council of Indian Medicine, Department of AYUSH, Government of India, and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka.

The college has a full-fledged teaching faculty consisting of experienced postgraduate doctors, supported by efficient administrative staff. Senior doctors from all faculties are available for consultation in the hospital.

The pharmacy is equipped with advanced facilities including muffle furnace, UV chamber, tablet-making machines, Soxhlet apparatus, distillation equipment, HPLC, and traditional Ayurvedic instruments. Medicines prepared in the pharmacy are utilized in the hospital.

RAMC Campus

Educational tours are organized, especially during the second professional year. Students are encouraged to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, cultural programs, and extracurricular activities. Meritorious students are recognized and felicitated regularly.

The college library houses over 10,000 books on Ayurveda and modern health sciences, with an annual addition of at least 500 books. Ayurvedic and modern medical journals are available. The digital library provides internet access, CD/DVD resources, and audio-visual learning facilities.
